Who Will Teach Me?
The course is delivered in partnership with staff from North Lindsey College.
What Entry Requirements Do I Need?
5 GCSE's A*-C to include Maths, English Language and a Science subject.
How Will I Be Assessed?
Assessment will be modular and portfolio based. There will be two externally assessed extended essays.
What Will I Learn On This Course?
You will study a range of units to include:
- Empowerment in Health and Social Care
- Protection of Children, Young People and Adults
- Human Growth and Development
You will learn to:
- Learn and work independently
- Carry out independent research
- Develop your communication and ICT skills
Practical Skills
You will undertake placement in a local health and social care setting (to be decided upon following consultation with your Tutor) for which an Enhanced DBS check will be required.
What Kind Of Person Studies This Course?
This course is suited to those wishing to seek employment within the Health and Social Care sector or those wishing to progress to university to continue their studies in e.g. nursing, midwifery, radiology, physiotherapy, social work, etc.
