The members of Brigg Rotary Club have provided formal interview practice for Sir John Nelthorpe School students in Y12 & Y13. This has enabled the students to hone their interview skills in preparation for University and employment. The students have been working on interview technique and skills with their tutors over recent weeks; this process gave them chance to put them into practice without the fear of it costing them a University place or their dream job. Director of Sixth form Mr Matt Mosey said "The breadth of knowledge and experience that the Rotarian's bring is tremendous, they have backgrounds in a multitude of professions that enabled them to ask some really pertinent questions that gave our students a real test. I can't thank them enough for providing this invaluable service."
A Brigg Rotary Club spokesman said: "Brigg Rotary Club members are delighted to be able to use their experience and expertise in support of students as they prepare for the next stage in their development. The club takes great pride in its support of the local community especially the work in Primary Schools with reading support, Secondary Schools with literacy and technology or music competitions and Brigg Sixth Form College with mock interviews. Members have been impressed with the way students have presented themselves and prepared their personal statements in preparation for their interviews. It has been a pleasure to play a small part in support of the great work being done by the tutors with their students."
