Back in October a group of us Sixth Formers went on the trip of a lifetime to one of the world's most beautiful cities; Rome!
The trip began with a 2am start. There then followed a coach journey, a plane to Rome and a lot of snoring from Mr Grafton. For the next 3 days we set out to discover and enjoy all that Rome had to offer; including, of course, delicious pizza and the best ice-cream ever.
We also visited some of the most impressive sites, which included the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, Vatican City and the Spanish Steps; not to mention three teachers who kept getting us lost!
The sites were breath-taking, especially St Peter's Church at the Vatican. Those who had the head for it went up to the dome and they all agreed it was the most amazing view.
The best parts of the trip were not only the marvellous sites, but the wonderful company. Throughout our whole trip we all had such a laugh and created many more great memories. That is when we found out the true point of a trip to Rome; to have a great time.
We certainly did that!
